Over a span of seven years, she would be harassed by an unknown individual, leading to more than 100 police reports of stalking. They would call her to threaten her or breathe into the phone until she hung up in a panic. They would lurk around her home at night, even going as far as to cut her phone line. Authorities were puzzled by the lack of evidence. Eventually, they would believe that they were being fooled. This led to a near complete disinterest in continuing her investigation - until the young woman turned up dead.
