Spiritually Prepared Warriors Prepared Warriors Welcome to Prepared Warriors. We Spiritually Prepare for Life & Eternity. We actively employ the armor of God and the spiritual weapons of our warfare - the Word, Worship, and Prayer. God gives us truth and peace. So, we keep coming back to God to fill us up and send us out! He anointed us to defend ourselves, our families, and our territories. There’s no retreat, no surrender and we NEVER GIVE UP! “…If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)God, your word says, “… the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13) So, we ask you, Lord, prepare us for the spiritual warfare in the days to come. Amen. Sherman's March To The Sea, And The Burning Of Columbia, South Carolina, From His Memoirs by William Tecumseh Sherman Loyal Books This librivox recording comprises part of chapter 22 and all of chapter 23 (The March To The Sea – From Atlanta To Savannah – November And December 1864) of American Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman’s Memoirs. Sherman was one of the premier generals fighting for the North. In 1864, Sherman succeeded Grant as the Union commander in the western theater of the war. He proceeded to lead his troops to the capture of the city of Atlanta, a military success that contributed to the re-election of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. Sherman's subsequent march through Georgia and the Carolinas further undermined the Confederacy's ability to continue fighting. He accepted the surrender of all the Confederate armies in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida in April 1865. Sherman’s scorched earth policy marching his army through Georgia from conquered Atlanta to coastal Savannah was a strong factor in breaking the South’s will to fight. The South’s surrender came just five months later. Burial of the Guns by Thomas Nelson Page Loyal Books This is a book of short stories centered around the Civil War and its aftermath. The author was a prominent Virginian in his day, and his writing shows a talent for poignant reminiscences. The title comes from the second story, in which an artillery unit detached from Lee's army determines to follow their last orders - not to let their cannons fall into Union hands - despite Lee's surrender and the end of the War in Virginia. The other stories focus on individuals in the post-War years.
