In the story of the Transfiguration, Jesus’ divinity is revealed in the presence of the great prophets Moses and Elijah, and in the words from God claiming Jesus as God’s own son. As we contemplate both Black history month and the coming of Lent, we will lean into music in the spiritual tradition: Songs of life and of death, hope and resistance.
