Palm Sunday, observed on the Sunday before Easter, commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, marking the beginning of the week of His crucifixion. The Triumphant Entry, described in all four Gospels, occurred exactly one week before Jesus' resurrection. As Jesus rode into the city on a donkey, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies, crowds spread palm branches and their cloaks on the road, shouting "Hosanna."
