From one guitarist to another, in this week’s episode we are listening to the second album from Steve Hackett. Please Don’t Touch (how many times have I heard that before?) was released in April 1978 on the Charisma label. It followed a period of time spent recording in America, and features some well known voices from across the pond. Without the restrictions placed on him by a band setting, Steve fully flexed his creative muscles to produce an album that is unlike his debut. Gone are the Genesis influences, with only Chester Thompson on drums, and in are the Rock sounds of Steve Walsh (of Kansas fame). It’s an eclectic mix, but does it work as an album? That, dear listener, is the question facing our intrepid duo this week. Does the album suffer from sophomore slump? Whose vocal performance does Gary describe as “a tour de force”? Which song does Simon skip? You can find the answers to all these questions, and more, by clicking play and having a listen. NEXT EPISODE: Peter Gabriel - 2 (or Scratch if you prefer) I hope you enjoyed that trip into the mind of Steve Hackett, as a special thank you for listening here’s an offer. The Revelation Revolution Dr. Dennis Woods This Podcast examines End Time Events and the Book of Revelation, from a non-Pre-trib point of view. The book of Revelation has a powerful message that has been widely ignored. Many Christians are taught that the Church will be raptured before most of the events in Revelation occur. However, Revelation has an important message for today's Christians and is vital for future Christians as well. Those who read Revelation without preconceived theological constructs will discover the riches and wisdom revealed in God’s plan for the ages. It’s time now for a Revelation Revolution! The Revelation of Jesus Christ Bob Corbin & Family Bible Church The book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is not only of great interest to many but, more importantly is pertinent to our lives today! The Word of God declares, 'Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.' Since the prophecy of this book must be in agreement with the rest of Scripture, we will also examine prophecy throughout the Bible. Join Bob Corbin on this expository trek through the book of Revelation.
