There Will Always Be A Palestine w/ Maram Alshurafa

from The River and The Land · host Bilal Rafiq, Kam Francis, and Travis Laver

We're very pleased to bring Maram Alshurafa, a survivor of the current genocide against Gaza, into the studio for what is an intense, heartbreaking, beautiful, and immensely important conversation about what Gaza was, is, and will be. Maram lived in Northern Gaza until her and her family were forced to flee after Israel started bombing in early October. Living in a tent in Southern Gaza, they got the call that their sponsorship had come through and they could immigrate to Canada after a short stay in Egypt. She tells her story, from the night of October 7th until she landed in Toronto in January. If you'd like to follow Maram on Instagram, you can do so @maram_alshurafa. Please donate to her family's GoFundMe here.
