My kids have followed me on their bellies to the back of a small cave. They have loaded into cars and buses and planes and boats with me over and over. My kids have jumped into the water because I was there. My kids have looked for me when they were playing sports or performing in the arts programs. They follow because they trust. They trust us as parents to give them love. They trust us to give them a smile. They trust us to keep them safe. I love the fact that this young man loved his father and wanted to adventure with him. It’s not been too many weeks ago that my son and I adventured in Alaska together and my wife and daughter got to adventured in Africa. It breaks my heart that the Dawood family adventure ended in tragedy. So, where are you leading your children? What example are you giving them? What path are you setting them on? They will follow.
