Welcome to the 100th episode of The Relationship Guy! John revisits a recurring thread that has been referred to throughout the past 99 episodes and is an intrinsic part of John’s six-part course, The Six Things You Need to Know in Order to Attract a Healthy, Loving Relationship, Attachment Styles and how they can make a major positive impact on your life. Refresh yourself on Attachment Styles and become aware of one of the most effective ways to understand how you relate to your partner and how they relate to you.   KEY TAKEAWAYS We fall into two attachment types in general, secure and insecure.  Your attachment style develops in your early childhood and then is reinforced throughout your life depending on your relationship experiences.  The 4 definable attachment styles are Anxious, Avoidant, Disorganised and Secure. By matching and understanding compatible attachment styles we can attract the type of relationship that will prove to be most successful for ourselves.  BEST MOMENTS ‘It impacts on your life in so many other ways if it’s not understood and addressed. It can stop you finding the right kind of relationship, it will keep you stuck in the wrong types of relationship, it can make you self-sabotage in other areas of your life because you don’t understand how it is stopping you from living the life that you want.’ ‘Secure people are rarely going to look for a relationship with somebody that’s insecure. It’s not to say that they don’t but they also won’t stay in that relationship for very long if it’s too difficult because they are used to the healthy type relationship.’ ‘When two anxious people get together you will probably notice them as the couple that are arguing all the time, they like to scream and shout at each other a lot then they make up and it’s all ok, but they like a bit of chaos between them.’   ‘It’s a fascinating topic. It explains a lot about how and why we do relationships the way that we do.’ VALUABLE RESOURCES Find out your own attachment style here: https://john-2e6mdruf.scoreapp.com Find out more about my six week online and online plus course here: www.johnkennycoaching.com/get-relationship-ready The Bicycle Affect: https://youtu.be/oO7XZGvdWnoRelationship Video course and 1-2-1 coaching: Relationship Ready Online Programme - John Kenny (johnkennycoaching.com)To get in touch - email – [email protected] or book a complimentary call –https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minIf people want to order a copy of the book then they can just pay postage of £4.95 (RRP £8.99) - www.johnkennycoaching.com/podcast-book-offerWant to be able to address the relationship issues in your life? - Why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minThe Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy  ABOUT THE HOST I am John Kenny, Award Winning Relationship Coach.Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships. Brother Blaq1-" The Relationship Guy" Rob Gregg My podcast is about relationships and family. My goal is to help people make the right choice in mate selection. The only way we can grow as people is to look at our own lives and confront the truth. The saying is true, " the truth can set you free!! When we are totally free from the past, then and only then can we attract the right "purpose mate". Together with Nikhil Chinapa Nikhil Chinapa Together is a way of celebrating the relationship between you guys, the community that makes this show so special, and us, the team that puts the show together. Together, we/'re going to do amazing things. The FootPol Podcast Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton The podcast that brings together football and politics. We'll be exploring the relationship between the two, both inside and outside the game. The podcast covers "Big Politics" like politicians, clubs, international and national federations and other organised groups and how they use or abuse the game to "Small, Everyday Politics" in the form of community-level clubs, fan associations and the way that football reflects the political challenges of our day to day lives. The FootPol Podcast is brought to you by co-hosts Drs Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton. The Billy Madison Show Cristine Billy holds a Master’s Degree in Business from American International University and attended Mankato State in Minnesota, but don’t hold that against him. He is a collector of Star Wars memorabilia, autographs (seriously), and a self-admitted ”dork” (but in a cool way of course). Derek is Billy’s ”right hand man” and offers his opinion on many topics but he will honestly admit he’s ”not a political expert or expert on a lot of things” and ”never went to college” but neither did Bill Gates (ok Gates went, but dropped out) but so what? ”Nard” (also known as Nathan) is a former listener of the show that was given a job after Billy helped him find a girlfriend. The relationship with the girl didn’t last but Billy and the guys liked Nard’s ”wit” and offered him a chance to be on the show one day and he never left. Nard has won over 50 Gold Medals in The Special Olympics and supports causes that help place special needs individuals in appropriate jobs and careers, just as he has done.
