from Good Morning Aurora · host Studio B: The Host

And just like that, another great episode with a friend of the show, Jamie Mosser (candidate for Kane County State's Attorney)! When last we spoke with Jamie she was meeting with constituents and interested Kane County residents on a daily basis. Well, that hasn't quit! She's been very busy but she also has been the spearhead behind the Citizens Review Board. The purpose of the board is to address the systemic issues between police and communities of color on a thought-provoking and positive way. And that's EXACTLY what is taking place. Its about dialogue, coming together, listening & understanding. So many times, ordinary citizens unfamiliar with the legal process feel as if there is no concern for their thoughts. They feel left out of the process. Even more poignantly, they may feel that the system is against them. Today we put those questions and concerns directly to Jamie and she answered them for us. Knowledge is power: but so is accountability, fairness and social justice. Good Morning Aurora appreciates all candidates who take the time to speak to the people. We appreciate the work being done by Jamie to move our county, and country, forward in a safe and equitable fashion. Did you vote yet? That's the shout out of the day at the moment. Early voting is taking place in downtown Aurora at the Kane County Clerk Office (5 E. Downer Pl, Suite F). Get out there and vote, it's very important and it's our civic duty. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let us all lend our voices to the causes of those seeking help, relief and compassion of Breast Cancer & Domestic Violence. Much love, thank you and shouts to the American Legion, Tredwell Coffee & the Aurora Public Art Commission. Special thanks also go out to our staff, listeners and supporters. Thank you to all of our subscribers; we've got so much more coming for you! Once again, get out there and vote! Be blessed, motivated and positive today! See you tomorrow for another great episode!
