Good morning friends! Once again we are here. Now it's very cold outside so bundle up. Extra cold! Coffee, water and hot chocolate is what we have this morning. All that, and the news. Let's do it: - This Friday! Winter Lights! From 6 to 9 pm here in downtown Aurora there will be a parade, tree lighting, fireworks and shopping. Enjoy thyself in our great downtown and share your pics with us! Send pictures of your fun to [email protected] and we will give you a shout out on our Facebook page! #winterlights - Monday the 22nd will be the Aurora Community Youth Friendsgiving, hosted at Alive Aurora (78 S. LaSalle street). This is a free event from 6 to 8 pm which will feature food and great guest speakers Judge Bianca Camargo for Kane County Circuit Judge & Sandra Harrison of LITE (Leaders In Transformational Education). The flyer will be shared to our social media. - There’s a helpful and fun family event coming up for the month of December. Working with great sponsors and community partners, The Neighbor Project & Aurora FEC (financial empowerment center) will provide information and more resources for free at this event. The date is December 11th and the event will be from 1 to 4 pm at 1 E. Benton street (gallery 1904, lower level). Santa will also be on hand for cool holiday photos; health resources will be provided by our friends of VNA Health Care as well. Please help spread the word and come out to this great event.
