Here's today's news: - This evening is the fundraising reception for Judge Bianca Camargo for Kane County Circuit Judge at McCarty Mills Taproom, 140 S. River street. This will be from 5 to 7:30 pm and will be an in-person event. Great food and craft beer will be available and there are different contribution levels! - Wednesday, May 11th from 6 to 7:30 pm will be the Homebuyer Education Seminar hosted by The Neighbor Project. This event is sponsored by Citibank and will take place at Everlasting Word Church, located at 22 North Highland avenue in Aurora. Neighbor Project homebuyer counseling services will walk you through the steps of homebuying free of charge. This event is open to the public and will be presented in english and spanish. This is an important and helpful event for the city of Aurora. For more information you can call Jerria at (331) 300-3566! - Last but not least the Veterans Gardening Day is taking place at Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry on Saturday, May 7th from 11 am to 1 pm. This will be a day of honoring the veterans of Illinois. Also, this will celebrate House Bill 2894, designating the 1st Saturday in May as Veterans Gardening Day.
