from KWSO Radio · host KWSO Staff

KWSO and the Warm Springs Community Action Team along with many partners and community members organize the Thursday Market in Warm Springs. The Markets run through the summer into early fall – from 10:30am – 2pm each Thursday. This year the market has moved into the new CTWS Health & Human Services Campus Pavilion. The Thursday Market provides an opportunity for local people as well as those passing through to take a break from their routine and visit vendors and local organizations/resources who are set up. Chuush for All was at the Thursday Market, where they provided six-gallon water jugs and water filters. Megan Martin, the executive director of Furnish Hope, speaks more about what she and her organization does to help those in need. Nick Tierney, a Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council program coordinator, speaks about COIC's Septic Assistance Program. Alysia Scott, who is hoping to gather aspiring artists out on the reservation, shared more about what she was doing at the Thursday Market. Redsky Waheneka was also there to get youth involved in the weekly running/walking club. Hayden Crossog was at the Thursday market, promoting the basketball program Buffalo Nightwalkers.
