from Toot Your Own Horn: Music Matters · host Lisa's Clarinet Shop

Benny Lee has been an entrepreneur-and business man- all of his life. By accident, he discovered the clarinet in his late 60’s, and fell in love with the sound of it. Within 10 days, and 2 lessons he performed Strangers on the Shore, a song he has loved since childhood, at a party in his home in front of all of his friends. Almost 11 years later, Benny hosts many parties in his home and acts as a strolling clarinetist. He uses the clarinet to speak to others and to engage! Clarinet is Benny’s language. Benny hopes for everyone to experience playing the clarinet because it’s good for your life, he says. Especially in retirement, there is so much you can learn playing a wind instrument. It helps you have goals, dreams, makes life not so boring and is good for your health too. Take a listen to Episode 15 all of you entrepreneurs and consider the benefits of playing a wind instrument.
