TORQ MOTO #7 - Chris Churchill - Motocross is a stepping stone to more!

from TORQ MOTO · host TORQMOTO

The Torq Moto Podcast Show driven by Talon welcomes former MXGP mechanic Chris Churchill to talk the ’torq’ on life as an MX and F1 mechanic. Like many motocross mechanics, Chris started in the sport as a rider himself before falling into the job of a motocross mechanic to help a friend. That led him on a path to work with some notable names of British MX throughout the 90s and 00s such as Jon Pettit, James Noble, Carl Nunn, and Mark Hucklebridge, alongside some of America’s Motocross stars Sean Hamblin and Downtown Mike Brown. Chris’ ambition though was always to be involved in Formula 1 and after years of travelling the world as a motocross mechanic, he finally found his route into the pinnacle of motorsport with the Renault team. Chris gives hosts ‘Jeffro’ Perrett and DocWob his insight into life as an F1 mechanic and although worlds apart in budgets and glamour, the comparisons with motocross. Now part of the BWT Alpine F1 Team, Chris also explains life as part of the travelling Formula 1 circus and his role within the team, one where you would’ve seen him in action if you watch F1, especially if you are an Esteban Ocon fan! So stay tuned. Don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell, because we've got so much more in store for you! Whether you're an avid motocross enthusiast or simply curious about the sport, stay up-to-date with Torq Moto by following them on Instagram or Facebook for the latest updates, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive content.
