Torrential rain and galeforce winds continues to lash the lower North Island. A heavy rain warning remains in place further north in the Tararua District and parts of the central North Island. It has been lifted for Wairarapa but rivers rose again last night and all bridges into into Martinborough in South Wairarapa are closed for the second time in 24 hours. Reporter Mary Argue spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
