TOTLB 425 Starship Troopers

from Thinking Outside The Long Box · host Juan and Gabe

It's been twenty five years since our pop culture classic was made!! We're going all the way back to 1997 in order to revisit a cult classic! I'm not sure that this was ever a huge deal when it was originally released, but since that time it has developed a good amount of following, not because of how "good" the movie is, but because it just seems to be a fun watch!"In the distant future, the Earth is at war with a race of giant alien insects. Little is known about the Bugs except that they are intent on the eradication of all human life. But there was a time before the war... A Mobile Infantry travels to distant alien planets to take the war to the Bugs. They are a ruthless enemy with only one mission: Survival of their species no matter what the cost..."This movie has a very simple plot. It's a futuristic society in which humans are trying to find the home planet of a species of alien bugs, in order to destroy them all. There are some ups and some downs, and Rico goes through a lot of stuff in order to gain the trust of his fellow soldiers, even going through a ton of heart ache. Through it all though, there is plenty of bug guts! If anything else, this is just a fun watch.  SUBSCRIBE: Apple Podcasts | Android |  Spotify | Pandora | RSS Tell us what you think!Leave us a voicemail at 970-573-6148Send us feedback and/or MP3's to [email protected] us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube!Support the podcast on Patreon!Credit - Doyle Daniels, Juan Muro
