Op een Amerikaanse veilingsite stuiten ze op een uitgebreid archief van een Amerikaanse privé detective die vijftig jaar onderzoek deed naar de moord. Ze kopen het archief en halen het naar Nederland. Informatie uit dat archief brengt ze naar New Orleans, waar ze de minnares van Lee Harvey Oswald ontmoeten. Die vertelt over een geheim overheidsproject waar ze samen aan werkten in de zomer van 1963. Was Oswald CIA?
