I was one like a lot of kids that didn't understand my up bringing. But!!!! I can say now, that what was instilled in me keep me from going to so far on the deep end in a lot of cases. Raising your kids in a biblical atmosphere can be the difference from going astray and staying astray. Even though it's based on the individual, the bible has a way of always accomplishing what it sets out to do or doing just what it says it would.
