Traitors Of Our Faith: Flesh Wars Against Spirit

1 Peter 2:11-16, Romans 7:7-25, Galations 5:16-21, James 4: 1-11. Your relationship with God is centered on your relationship with other people. We have a corporate responsibility to live righteously. If you do not have a relationship with Christ, your personal relationships will also be strained/broken/disfunctional. We are freed by Christ, but we should not use our freedom to do evil. We have boundaries which are God's love. Abstain from the lusts of the flesh. We are in a constant war between our fleshly lusts and our spiritual desire to please God. Our mind wills to serve God's law, but your flesh wars to sin which kills us. Isolation to make yourself privately righteous does not work. How can you practice the fruits of the Spirit if you are not around others? Embracing the worldilness instead of the righteousness of God is being a traitor to your faith. Our relationship with our church members is impersonal because we know in our heart that we have betrayed the faith by embracing sin. We are interdependent on each other to overcome sin. Yet we would rather not be judged and remain in our sin. We have weaknesses. Be humble and seek help.
