Recruiting military veterans for maintenance jobs in truck repair shops is an oft-discussed industry goal. In practice, however, it tends to be extremely challenging. According to a top veterans official with the U.S. Department of Labor, the government is currently exploring ways to change that. As Mark Toal said during a virtual session of the Technology & Maintenance Council’s spring meeting, “We give you the tools to fish, but at the end of the day, you got to do the fishing.
