On this episode of the Treasury Career Corner podcast, we have the amazing Cathy McGarry joining us to discuss changing technologies in the healthcare treasury industry and some top pieces of advice from her long and successful career.   Cathy McGarry is the Director of Finance and Treasury Operations for Northwestern Medicine, a premier academic health system in Chicago. Northwestern Medicine is ranked as one of the top hospital systems in the country by U.S. News & World Report.   Ms. McGarry has successfully led multiple system implementations throughout her career, resulting in numerous process improvements while following industry best practices. She has achieved many milestones throughout her 25 years of experience in healthcare finance. Cathy is a subject matter expert, specialising in the following areas: banking relationship management, revenue cycle initiatives, AP automation, ecommerce solutions, PCI Compliance, and M&A integrations.   Ms. McGarry received a master’s degree in Business Administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL and bachelor’s degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University. She is a recognised as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Cathy is also a member of the Association for Financial Professionals and Healthcare Financial Management Association nationally and locally.
