Tributes paid following death of former Sligo Rovers player

Tributes have been paid to Jimmy Burnside, following the passing of the former Sligo Rovers player.Burnside, a native of Forthill made 140 appearances for the club, scoring 40 goals in the 1950s and 60s. Affectionately known as ‘Burgo’, he was part of the Rovers team that reached the semi-finals of the FAI Cup in the 1965/66 season.Sligo Rovers Chairman, Tommy Higgins shared his thoughts following the news of Burnside’s passing:
