Like all of the Diamond stories, Psycho Therapy is a mystery with an adventure pacing that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Each chapter is a story in itself, making it a satisfying read. .Where the story fell short of ideal: This is the third story in a trilogy. While the mystery – Dr. Robin Ransom’s story – is independent of the first two books, the character development for Diamond is not. Like any trilogy, you can read the story alone, but you won’t be able to fully get the relationship between the characters or the jokes that refer back to previous books – like defenestration. Really, the best thing you can do for yourself is to read all three.
