Tuesday, March 19, 2024 - Laken's dad is disgusted, sheriffs push back & two realtors talk it out

While Laken Riley's mom and stepfather cozied up to Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene, ⁠a somber biological father - Jason Riley - emerged via an interview with NBC News⁠ that show us a heartbroken man disgusted that his daughter's murder has been politicized. Meanwhile, the ⁠local newspaper sought feedback from Georgia sheriffs⁠ and they're not thrilled with the predicament state GOP lawmakers are putting them in with ill-conceived immigration laws they say overburden already stretched-thin jail & law enforcement agencies. Their responses also show, quite glaringly, how I.C.E. needing better funding to better do its job at the federal level is pretty clear to see. If only there were bipartisan support for legislation that would address that, right?
