Summary

I'm really excited to share my conversation with my (Producer Ashley)'s friend Ty Defoe.  Ty and I talked the day after the inauguration of Joe Biden and that is reflected in the interview.  We also chat about Ty being on Broadway, working with (#Icon) Kate Bornstein, and helping the craft the indigenous representation and public acknowledgement of the crimes, treatment, and genocides committed against indigenous people throughout history in the North American Continent for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. TY DEFOE (Giizhig) is from the Oneida and Ojibwe Nations. He is an interdisciplinary-hyphenated artist, activist, writer, cultural worker, and shape-shifter. As a two-spirit person Ty aspires to an integral approach to artistic projects, social justice, indigeneity, and environmentalism. Ty gained recognition in many circles around the world including a Grammy Award for his work on “Come to Me Great Mystery.” Ty’s global cultural arts highlights are: the Millennium celebration in Cairo, Egypt with the Call for Peace Drum and Dance Company; Turkey for the Ankara International Music Festival, and Festival of World Cultures in Dubai. Ty’s frequents his own community where he learned to hoop dance, eagle dance, and play a variety of wooden flutes. https://www.tydefoe.com/

I'm here to share my thoughts and sometimes my experiences about the things that happen in our society and the people who live in it. Some of it is good, but most of it is bad. I'm trying to understand why some people do the things that they do and what drives them to do it.

    Stephen Radford

Behold, a fresh, humour filled exploration of the unknown, with plenty of creaky floors, squeaky doors, unintelligable language and extraordinary theories. That's just the hosts. Listen to YngDave and Stephen as they reckon with their belief systems. Yngdave builds his belief around logic, however leaning to what might be rather than what it is not, while Stephen builds his skepticism around snack food. In other words, Stephen would rather debunk and believes that human experience, as data, is fallible. They might not be able to bend spoons and no doubt, they will blame each other for the fires that get started in remote areas, thanks to their misguided attempts at astral projection.

  • Roundball Rock

    08/06/2020

    Roundball Rock

Roundball Rock is a comedy podcast about the rumors, hearsay, ins, and yes, outs of NBA basketball. Hosted by comedy writers and NBA junkies Sean Keane and Joey Devine, every week Sean and Joey joke about everything that happened in the world of basketball except what happened in the games, because they are definitely not experts and nothing is more boring than analytics. From episode to episode, Roundball Rock always provides an NBA related surprise, whether it's one of your favorite basketball writers (like Kelly Dwyer, David Roth, Zach Harper), hilarious comedians (like David Gborie, Chris Garcia, Josh Gondelman, Megan Gailey), parodies, long form sketches, or fake ad reads. In a world where NBA podcasts can all sound the same from week to week, Roundball Rock strives to create something unique, smart, dumb, hilarious, and fun, which is exactly what makes us the 88th most popular sports podcast in Senegal. Basketball is fun, and stats are not.https://feed.pippa.io/publ
