The UN-Water Annual Zaragoza Conferences starts t oday and will serve as part of the road map for World Water Day 2015, which will focus on “water and sustainable development”. This conference is essential as the post-2015 international agenda for water will be decided at the conference. The conference which is underway in Zaragoza, Spain, will focus on practical tools for implementing the future agenda in water and sanitation. More than 300 participants from United Nations Agencies and programmes, experts, representatives of the business community, governmental and non-governmental organizations will meet at the conference f or discussion.

• Shauna Curry is an engineer and the CEO of CAWST, the centre for affordable water and sanitation technology. CAWST is a Canadian-based charity that ha reached 9.3 million people with safe drinking water and basic sanitation in 68 countries. The Organisation focuses on teaching people the knowledge and skills they need to address their water and sanitation needs
• Josefina Maestu is from UN-Water Decade Programme on Advocacy and Communication (UNW-DPAC)
• George Constantinides, specialist and senior consultant for South Africa’s Department of Water Affairs and Sanitation.
