from Nostalgic Engineers · host Nostalgic Engineers

We’re continuing the conversation about our undergrad years—the phase that often gets overlooked but ends up shaping so much of who we become. In Part 2, we dig deeper into the experiences, choices, and moments that taught us lessons far beyond the classroom. From figuring life out as young adults to the small decisions that quietly influenced our paths, this episode is all about why those undergrad years matter more than we often realize. If you’ve ever looked back at college and thought, “Those years really changed me,” this one’s for you.#NostalgicEngineers #UnderratedUndergrad #CollegeMemories #StudentLife #GrowingUp #LifeLessons #PodcastEpisode #MemoryLane

Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation. This knowledge exchange workshop was part of the four months Res Endless Summer Greg Bounce “Endless Summer” is a sun-drenched synth anthem—nostalgic, shimmering and built for golden hour. A dreamy blend of Balearic vibes and Italo disco energy.
