Unoffendable - Take Out the Trash

What does it mean to take offense? If you look up the definition of the word, offended, you will see most dictionaries say something about anger and resentment. As we get in to this, you may be thinking, like me, aren’t we allowed to be angry? What about righteous anger? Aren’t Christians supposed to be angry at people for certain things? We will talk about all these things and more through this series. Today, Jesus is offering us peace. You know, when I let go of my anger, I can actually be in the moment with my wife and kids. I can just be present. I don’t have to carry the weight of judgment or condemnation. Jesus wants to “release us from the constant evaluation, never-ending striving, and relentless assessment of where we, and everyone else, stand” (Hansen 91).
