She is a faculty scientist and podcast host (Neuroscientists Talk Shop) at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she devotes her time to developing diversity in the research community. Her interest in ethical spaces originated with the many quandaries at the intersection of research, tech and commerce. Katie is the founder and editor-in-chief of ESJ, a fashion magazine promoting ethical and sustainable fashion to inspire readers to shop more consciously. http://ethicalstylejournal.com Sharmon is a scientist, writer/editor, stylist, the Founder of Blessed Designs, Chair of Fashion Sustainability with the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative, and the President of the Ethical Network of San Antonio.
