Het verdwijnen van de 65-pluskorting in het openbaar vervoer is logisch, zegt emeritus-hoogleraar transportbeleid aan de TU Delft, Bert van Wee. De korting komt uit een tijd dat ouderen het financieel niet breed hadden. Tegenwoordig hebben ouderen het financieel vaak beter dan jongere generaties. ‘Kinderen mogen gratis reizen, terwijl de korting voor 65-plussers verdwijnt.
