Martin Ruebens kreeg bij het aantreden van de nieuwe Vlaamse regering te horen dat het Departement Kanselarij en Beheer zal fuseren met het Departement Buitenlandse Zaken en dat hij daar niet langer secretaris-generaal van zal zijn. Binnen de Vlaamse administratie moet hij straks dus een andere rol opnemen. Het gedwongen thuiswerk door de coronacrisis bood hem de kans niet alleen over die toekomstige rol te reflecteren, maar ook over wat de afgelopen jaren onder zijn leiding is gerealiseerd. Met name op de geleverde inspanningen om van zijn departement, als center of government, een zelfsturende netwerkorganisatie te maken kijkt hij met trots terug.

The format was similar to that of classic old time radio shows like The Mysterious Traveler and The Whistler, in that the episodes were introduced by a host (E. G. Marshall) who provided pithy wisdom and commentary throughout. Unlike the hosts of those earlier programs, Marshall is fully mortal, merely someone whose heightened insight and erudition plunge the listener into the world of the macabre (in a manner similar to that of The Man in Black on yet another old time radio program, Suspense).
