I thought I was the only Thunderclap Newman fanatic (Thunderhead? Newmanhead??). When I came up with the ingenious idea of interviewing Pete Townshend, my theory was that he was probably so sick of answering the same old questions about The Who and his solo career that he would welcome chatting about this band that he put together and the album he produced. Turns out, I was right. Little did I know however that someone else was already talking to Pete about this very subject, and was delving deep to uncover the story of this almost forgotten band. Who better than to have on the show then the guy Pete says "knows more about Thunderclap Newman than I do". This epysode dives into the story of the unlikely characters that make up this utterly unique band, their fascinating album and the amazing journey author Mark Wilkerson took to write his compelling book.
