Arguably the most impactful designer in the last decade, Virgil Abloh was able to bridge the gap between high fashion and streetwear. Between his own popular brand, Off White, to becoming the art director and more of Louis Vuitton's menswear, he had plenty of success in fashion. More than that, Virgil was a fixture in the culture. Especially music, with his creative work for Kanye and separately DJ'ing around the world. His collabs also included IKEA furniture and dozens of hyped Nike sneakers. Unfortunately, recently he passed away from a rare cancer on Nov 28th at only 41 years old, a total surprise to the public.
