It was a week of mixed emotions for the travelling Town faithful with success on the road at Hillsborough on Tuesday night, claiming another scalp in the Carabao Cup – this time Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, but then a humbling 3-0 defeat at Barnet in the league on Saturday, our first away from home all season. The guys begin by commending the players after prevailing in an unusual game and atmosphere mid-week but then turn their attentions to the more worrying display on Saturday and one that David Artell described as “abject”. Why is there a downward trend in performances? How much are we contributing to our own downfall?
