Walsh disappointed over FG convention developments

Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh has expressed his disappointment over developments leading up to the party's selection convention last night. Sitting TD Frank Feighan was selected by Fine Gael to represent the party in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency at the next General Election. But earlier in the evening, Cllr Thomas Walsh withdrew as a candidate after sources from within the party informed him that the directive at the convention was select only one candidate. Speaking to Ocean FM news, Cllr Walsh hasn't ruled out the possibility of Fine Gael adding another candidate to the ticket down the line:
