-Omaha news station KETV felt the need to obtain text messages from several members of Nebraska’s Board of Regents---as well as Gov. Jim Pillen---pleading Alberts to stay at Nebraska before he ultimately left for A&M, and Troy Dannen was hired a week later-Text messages showed Pillen say that Nebraskans would be ‘devastated’ if Alberts left…was he wrong? It was a rough time for Nebraska fans -More importantly…was it really necessary to go through the text messages in general?
