De meeste overheidswebsites in Europa zijn niet toegankelijk genoeg, zo blijkt uit onderzoek van bureau Digitaal Toegankelijk. In verreweg de meeste gevallen wordt niet voldaan aan richtlijnen die uit 2016 (!) stammen. Elke drie jaar moeten EU-landen aangeven hoe goed de toegankelijkheid van zulke sites is geregeld in monitors. Het bureau onderzocht er 26 en stelde vast dat het overgrote deel niet voldoet aan de Europese regels.
