Good morning everyone! We've got a great show for you today. Our friend Mr. Jim Jarvis has returned to tell us about the great summer events taking place at RiverEdge Park, including Blues On The Fox and much more! This is Jim's third time on the show and we're glad to have him back. Let's get ready to learn! Here's the news: - Thursday, June 1st there will be a great sip & paint event at Los Girasoles, 19 S. Randall in North Aurora. The event starts at 6 pm, the fee is $35 and includes materials. This event is for kids and youth so please bring your family! Call the numbers for reservations and have fun! - Monday, June 19th the City of Aurora will host the Juneteenth Flag Raising at One Aurora Plaza (8 E. Galena Blvd). The flag raising will take place at 1 pm with many special guests. In attendance will be the famous South Shore Drill Team, Mr. & Miss Black Aurora and Earle, Arkansas Mayor Jaylen Smith. Mr. Smith holds the distinction of being the youngest black mayor in America! Save the date and come experience a great community event! - Saturday, June 24th from 10 am to 9 pm the 2nd Annual Picnic in the Park, Round 2 will be taking place at Lebanon Park (1010 Lebanon street). This is an all ages event with great music and will be a contest between Aurora & Chicago house dj’s. This is presented by DJ Spanky D and features a lot of great sponsors.
