News and coffee and a lot to talk about, a typical Wednesday morning! We are here with her colleague Noelia and here is the news: - Enjoy a day of fishing with the family! That's how it is! On Saturday July 10 there will be a youth fishing tournament at Lake Jericho in Aurora. Fishing poles will be available if anyone needs; Prizes will be awarded to youth entrants by age group and free hot dogs and drinks will be served. All skill levels are welcome! This event is presented by Fox Valley Park District and many great sponsors! Please share and go have fun. You need to register for this free event and you can do it at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/free-youth-fishing-derby-at-jericho-lake-park-aurora-registration-156741705661 - Our friends from Fox Valley United Way will be having their first Halloween Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Hike! This is a fundraising event, the proceeds of which will ensure financial support for the children of Fox Valley. The appointment will be on October 17 at 9 am at Phillips Park. Sponsorships are available and registration is required. Lake St. in Aurora. Pantry volunteers will place free food bags and other items in their vehicles. Food for 200 families will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Items to be distributed include granola bars, fruits and vegetables, pasta, eggs, ground meat, cereals, applesauce, apple juice, and packaged food. Interfaith has partnered with Fox Valley Park District, Calvary Church of Naperville, and Blessings in a Backpack of Chicago to provide free groceries and other items to local families at different distribution points.  That's it for today folks!
