Wednesday, April 10, 2024 - Short-haired AZ pet catches car & the Fed just needs to cut anyway
from The Ron Show · host Ron Roberts
Another example of "dog catches car" in Arizona yesterday as a (GOP-packed) state Supreme Court believes an 1864 law (that predates Arizona even being a state) is where reproductive rights is properly codified. The former governor who packed that court, the current GOP Senate candidate (and Trump pet) - who on the record two years ago supported going back to that 1864 law - and other Republicans are now backtracking because a ballot measure will also land on Arizona ballots in 2024 with 11 electoral voters and said Seante seat up for grabs. March inflation data came out and it's not the kind of number we'd expect the Fed to act on, but hear me out: I believe they need to, anyway, if they truly wish to coax that "soft landing" and avoid an economic calamity. Why? Because consumers keep consuming (adding to their credit tab where those rates will eventually hit 'em hard) and profit-driven capitalism (responsible for more than half of inflation) isn't showing signs its willing to cool their jets, either. Also, as a real estate professional, I'm telling people who need to sell and/or buy a home to do so, regardless where rates are (or the rate they have is now). You can deal with the rate later. Lastly, the Apple TV+ series "Manhunt" just glaringly offers lessons (not learned) in mishandling treason and traitors in such an effective way it's "must watch" for anyone who absorbs history the way I do. Also, disgraced, impeached 17th President Andrew Johnson & today's MAGA movement and their idol share some notable traits.
