from Jean & Mike Do The New York Times Crossword · host MP
Mi, mi, mi -- sorry, we're just warming up to analyze a Will Nediger crossword that had three ME references, all tied to 53A, Ominous request from a teacher ... or a hint to the first words (and following letters) of 17-, 26- and 43 Across, SEEMEAFTERCLASS. The answers to those clues were, incidentally, BUSINESSMEETING, GYMMEMBERSHIP, and GERMANMEASLES.There was a lot to like in this crossword -- Will Nediger does not know how to write anything less. Most notable were 14A, Brest milk, LAIT (brilliante!); 13D, They run when they're broken, EGGS,; 31D, Duty-free?, IDLE; 8D, Food, in a food fight, AMMO, and, just because it's so fun to say, 44D, Granny, in the South, MEEMAW (yet another, unrelated-to-theme ME!).Overall, a nice puzzle, we give it the often requested but infrequently bequested 5 squares on the JAMCR scale. We love feedback! Send us a text...Contact Info:We love listener mail! Drop us a line, [email protected], we're on FaceBook, so feel free to drop by there and strike up a conversation!
