Week 16: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Championships

from 25 Yards Later · host Nick Luciano

Welcome to 25 Yards Later, SportsObsessive's fantasy football podcast! It's Week 16, which means that it is the Fantasy Championship for most leagues! All of your blood, sweat, tears, spreadsheets, waiver claims, tears, nachos, and tears have led up to this. No matter what happens, just remember that it's possible that you might never be forced to watch an Adam Gase offense after this week because you were down by 3 on Monday night with only Braxton Berrios left to go. And what a glorious feeling that will be. The NFL schedule makers have saved what could be one of the best weekends of the year for championship weekend. We tackle some of the games we're the most excited for: Vikings (6-8) @ Saints (10-4) on Christmas Day, Rams (9-5) @ Seahawks (10-4), Falcons (4-10) @ Chiefs (13-1), and Titans (10-4) @ Packers (11-3). Once again, we have a lot of questions on our minds. Are there options on the Dolphins that aren't getting enough credit? Which Saints pass-catchers do we think can step up? Can Allijah pull off some terrible Kyle Rudolph Christmas puns? What do you do with the Rams and Chiefs backfields now that Cam Akers and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are hurt? When we say "start everyone," does that include Marques Valdes-Scantling and Sammy Watkins? And do you really need our advice to start Derrick Henry and Davante Adams in smash spots? Plus, Nick has a game for Allijah called "The Zeus is Loose," in which Allijah has to guess which quarterbacks have been outscored by TE Travis Kelce. And as always, the Touchback Player of the Week, honoring the player (or players) with the most kickoffs that made their opponents start their next drive 25 yards later. Follow Nick on Twitter @nickgluciano and Allijah @allijahmotika. You can listen to 25 Yards Later on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Casts, and RadioPublic. 25 Yards Later is a production of SportsObsessive and 25YL Media.
