KEY TAKEAWAYS It’s extremely important to raise awareness of the other continents so that they know we’re there for one, but that they have human needs just like we have needs, that we are all threaded together. That awareness has to be awakened. Stigmas exist that we’d like to see changed. What breaks my heart is the stories from Africa of people not having the proper medication and vaccines for Covid and seeing people in other countries not wanting to take the vaccines they had. Not that anyone should be made to have it, it was the availability, they had a choice which wasn’t there in Africa. I’d like to see that choice become more an option for the people in Africa. Our health is our wealth. Education is important to better our world. People in different countries don’t have the same viewpoint and could give a totally different perspective and may be able to bring cures, become scientists, teachers, preachers and do so many other things that we, with privileges, may never have thought of. It’s also important to get them employed and get money flowing through their homes. A lot of children have to leave school and get badly paid jobs to look after their families because they are lacking. Individual, prosperous living. Those are the desires of people who live in Africa, they want to have the prosperous life that Americans and people in other continents have. It’s amazing how people will do anything to get to America, they can’t see themselves as being prosperous where they are and so they focus on going somewhere else. That’s not living, that’s existing.
