Welcome to The Sounds of Street Child United

Hello and welcome to a brand new podcast from Street Child United. We are a charity that uses sport and art to create a global platform for street-connected children so that they can advocate for the protection, support, and rights which every child deserves.  The first series of The Sounds of Street Child United is coming very soon, where we’ll share the voices of some of the world’s most inspirational young people as they take part in the Street Child Cricket World Cup in Chennai, India.  There will be 20 teams from 14 countries made up of 160 children; many of whom have no legal identity, no access to education and no safe space to live. They will be representing their nations and 150 million other street-connected children on a global sporting stage.  This is going to be an inspirational series, as we transport you into the heart of the event, with a daily episode from behind the scenes. You'll hear about the cricket tournament, the arts workshops; the advocacy, the friendships, the wins, the losses and everything in between - this podcast will capture the magic that is the Street Child Cricket World Cup from a host of different contributors.  Episode One coming 24th September 2023.
