For a non-traditional wet shaver, it may be hard to truly understand this whole thing. Asking him about his favorite vendors/artisans can go a long way. Check Out His Current stuff: What does he use everyday?  Is there a particular product he enjoys? Is he missing something?  Wet Shaving Literature: When in doubt a good Wet Shaving Book is always a great option. It's probably the safest gift to give and even if he doesn't read many books I bet he reads them.  Storage:  A cool cabinet, something modern or vintage is a safe way to give a great gift!  Storage also provides a mutual gift for the family as his stuff can be all organized.    Avoid the following:   I always recommend avoiding modern day, drug store stuff for the traditional wet shaver.  Trust me we've tried all of it.  Also, avoid anything gimmicky or weird stuff.
