What Happened to Esther

from NPPBC's Media Ministry

Did you know that God always sends the solution before the battle is sent? Before the first sin was committed there was a savior. The Similarities: A law The 10 Commandments is a law that is given unto a person’s own following can’t be fulfilled. It’s sure death. We can’t keep the law. Esther had a law against her that meant death to her and her kind. An enemy Esther’s enemy was the one that spoke out against her, the one that went to destroy her out of spite. We too have an enemy that seeks to destroy us and we can’t get away from him. Kill, steal, and destroy is what the enemy wants. Regardless of the world, we have a savior that’s in full control. A king Esther had a king and her enemy wasn’t counting on him to save her. Fear is the one thing that keeps us from standing against the enemy. We too have a king that is in full control and is for us. The Differences: Proud and imperious man – Fear Esther was afraid because the law sealed her fate. Her fear was the very worst that could happen to her. We are to come to God boldly to ask Him anything. Jesus said to come unto Him all who are heavy laden. If we pray with a contrite spirit God will hear from us. Esther didn’t have that. We also have a promise from God, Esther didn’t have that either. God wants us to ask him. Promises How many times have you been in the presence of God, the joy, where He says He’s glad you came to Him? Esther needed to see the welcome from the king. She had to wait for the golden scepter before she could come to the king. She had to be invited each time. We do not have to deal with being welcomed in each time. The scepter of Grace was extended to us at Calvary’s Cross and from that point on we can come boldly at any time to God. God’s grace welcomes us to come at any time. Alone Esther was alone when she went to the king, we do not. Romans 8:26; we are never alone! 2 precious friends, the Holy Spirit that speaks for us when we don’t know what to pray for, and Romans 8:34; Jesus Christ is also there making intersession for us. We are the child of the king. God did not change the 10 commandments. No, in fact just as the king and Esther, God made a new law. Yes, the original law is real and should be followed but the new law supersedes it. Without Christ, there is a law that will condemn you to Hell. Yet, there is a new law that if you accept Christ then you will live forever in Heaven.
