What is Dialogue Journalism? - Spaceship Media Co-Founder and CEO Eve Pearlman

On this episode of The Journalism Salute, Mark is joined by Eve Pearlman, the co-founder and CEO of Spaceship Media. In Eve’s words, Spaceship Media is a company that invites exploration for journalists and conversation participants through a recently developed form of work known as dialogue journalism. Spaceship brings people from different groups together for conversations over an extended period of time and works with media outlets to report on what comes from those conversations. Eve explains the origin of the company and how dialogue journalism works in the spirit of reconceptualizing what journalism is. She tells what motivated her to pursue this type of journalism, how projects are conceptualized, developed, and completed, and why journalists are ideal for the role they serve within dialogue journalism.
