We recorded this on October 5th, and we can't ignore the recent news regarding the chaos surrounding House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the dysfunction within the House of Representatives.This episode will be a deep dive into the current state of American politics, with a focus on the challenges faced by the Republican party and the larger systemic issues at play. This includes the power of one senator to block Senate business, lifetime Supreme Court appointments, the politicization of the Supreme Court, and gerrymandering.We also address the challenges posed by the filibuster, which allows a minority to block Senate legislation.
