An article that went viral this week featured adult film star Joey Mills, who is stepping away from the image that made him famous — the ‘twink,’ the fantasy, the boy next door — and leaning into something that feels more authentic, more grounded, more him. And what struck me wasn’t just that he changed his career direction. It was that he said, everything gets stale after a while. That line hit. Because for so many of us — especially as gay and queer men — our sexuality, our bodies, our identities, our desires… they evolve. But the world doesn’t always want us to evolve. It wants us frozen in whatever version of us was most consumable. Tonight, we’re not just talking about porn or kink or aging. We’re talking about permission. Permission to outgrow who you were. Permission to choose yourself again. We’re asking: Who were you taught to be sexually? Who are you now? And who are you becoming?
