Have you ever thought, “Where do I belong?” Chances are, that you probably have. It’s a longing we have inside of us to seek others and have a need to belong and be liked. In the book by Jeannie Allen, “Find Your People”, she talks about how we are physically, emotionally, and spiritually hardwired by God for relationship. She goes on to say, “From the moment you were born until you take your last breath, deep, authentic connection is the thing your soul most craves.” She is right, the Bible mentions over and over the importance of community, but with this desire we can be left feeling left out and lonely. Melissia shares about how she used to think it was important to be in “the cool kids club” but has found through many experiences in life that coolness is definitely in the eye of the beholder. The people who God places in your life, they are meant for you and isn't that way cooler than anything we could come up with?
Just keep your focus on God and the rest will follow.

Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
‭‭
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭44‬-‭47‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
